The main operations are: empty area fill (SmartFill), via optimization, and polygon edge modification. All operations are performed while strictly ensuring no DRC violations are introduced.

Calibre Yield Enhancer is fully integrated with Calibre nmDRC to guarantee that all yield enhancement operations result in a DRC-clean layout.
